The newly established Faculty of Arts at Macquarie University boasts an exciting new postgraduate program for 2009. With first round applications for next year closing soon now is the time to consider your options.

Master of Laws in Legal History (Distance)
The Master of Laws in Legal History will be attractive to members of the legal profession and others interested in the development of the Australian legal system and the relationship between legal and social change over time. The program will examine the relationship between law and history in both Australia and selected jurisdictions of the common law world. Faculty of Arts 2009
From 1 January 2009, Macquarie University will have a new academic structure. Instead of being organised into nine Divisions, Macquarie University will have four Faculties - Arts, Human Sciences, Business and Economics, and Science.

Modern and Ancient History, International Studies, Media, Music and Cultural Studies, Law, Sociology, Anthropology, Philosophy, English, Indigenous studies, Social Inclusion, Languages and Policing, Intelligence and Counter Terrorism, all feature in the new Faculty of Arts. Closing Dates
Friday 31 October 2008 is the closing date for first round postgraduate applications for programs commencing first half-year 2009.

Friday 12 December 2008 is the final closing date for applications for distance programs for first half-year 2009.

Friday 9 January 2009 is the final closing date for applications for on-campus programs for first half-year 2009.
