Macquarie University's postgraduate coursework program has expanded in 2007 to include courses that will equip graduates to embark on a new career or broaden their existing skills base.
Master of Teaching (Birth to Five years)
With a grave shortage of qualified teachers in the early childhood sector, the Master of Teaching (Birth to Five years) will enable graduates of other disciplines to obtain an early childhood teaching qualification at postgraduate level. Graduates will be eligible for employment as teachers in prior-to-school settings. Master of Actuarial Practice
The new Master of Actuarial Practice is designed for students who may not have previously studied actuarial studies at undergraduate level. The actuarial qualification is a highly technical financial/insurance qualification. There are a wide variety of career options for graduates including work in the insurance, banking, finance and investment sectors, the public sector, and consulting firms.
