Are you looking to further your career or take it in another direction? You can make it happen at Macquarie University. Find out what the University has to offer at Open Day on Saturday 1 September.
There will be something for everyone on Open Day, with a range of advice and activities for students, their families and the community designed to inform and entertain.
Academic Advice
The main focus of Open Day is to provide academic advice to future students, with staff available on the day to answer questions about both undergraduate and postgraduate programs offered at Macquarie.
If you are considering postgraduate study, make sure you visit the Atrium located in the SAM building on Open Day to receive expert academic advice on upgrading skills and qualifications through research or coursework.

Study by coursework

Study by research
Research students at Macquarie have the opportunity to work with academics at the international forefront of their fields. Generous scholarship schemes for applicants with proven research experience and excellent potential are available. Research degrees at both Doctoral and Masters levels are offered in all areas, and Professional Doctorates are available in Psychology, Linguistics, Professional Communication and Business Administration.
Entertainment and Tours
Many areas across the University will conduct tours and interactive demonstrations on Open Day which will provide prospective students with a real insight into the Macquarie University experience.
Entertainment is available for visitors of all ages with face painting, pony and camel rides, free henna tattoos, an insect zoo, reptile talk and handling sessions, the ever-popular Science for Kids tent, and much more.
Other Macquarie institutions, including the newly opened Sport and Aquatic Centre, the Library, the Residential Colleges, 2SER 107.3 FM and the University Art Gallery will be open for inspection, and a trackless train will operate across the campus to make getting around easier.
Open Day will be held on Saturday 1 September from 10am until 4pm. Parking is free on campus and free shuttle buses will run to and from Epping and Gordon stations to the University between 9.30am and 4pm.
