
Postgrad Opportunities in Coursework
Open Day on Saturday 1 September is the precursor to a month of events designed to inform potential postgraduate students of the opportunities available at Macquarie University.
Audiology and Speech Pathology
There is currently very strong demand for qualified professionals in speech pathology and clinical audiology, and Macquarie offers professional entry programs at Masters level in both areas. While applicants often include graduates from related areas such as psychology, linguistics, speech and hearing science, and biological and biomedical sciences, applicants from other disciplines should also come to this information session to learn more about the scope of these professions, and to take advantage of the opportunity to meet current and graduate students. It will be held on Tuesday 4 September from 5.30pm-7.30pm on Level 3 of the SAM Building, Macquarie University.
Economic and Financial Studies (EFS)
At this information session you can ask Macquarie's economic and financial studies experts about single and double coursework degrees in accounting, actuarial studies, economics, finance, international business, information systems and technology, marketing, and statistics. It will be held on Thursday 13 September from 5.30pm-7.30pm on Level 3 of the SAM Building, Macquarie University.
Graduate School of the Environment (GSE)
The GSE and The Planning Institute of Australia (PIA) NSW Young Planners invites new and continuing environmental planning students who are interested in pursuing a planning career, to an information session about the Masters of Environmental Planning. It will be held on Tuesday 4 September from 5pm-7pm on Level 3 of the SAM Building, Macquarie University.
Macquarie City College
Macquarie City College offers the Macquarie University Master of International Business in the heart of the Sydney CBD. This session offers further information about the College and how you can study at this exciting new location. It will be held on Wednesday 19 September from 5.30pm-6.30pm at Macquarie City College, Level 2, 11 York Street Sydney (above Wynyard Station).
Macquarie Graduate School of Management (MGSM)
MGSM offers a complete suite of postgraduate programs designed to meet the needs of today's management professional. This briefing session is for people who are thinking of undertaking a generalist MBA, a specific stream within the Master of Management, Postgraduate Diploma, Postgraduate Certificate or a single unit of the MBA. Faculty, alumni and current students will be available to answer any questions. It will be held on Thursday 20 September from 6pm-7.30pm at Macquarie Graduate School of Management CBD Campus, Macquarie University House, Level 6, 51-57 Pitt Street, Sydney.
Special Education
Qualified teachers, graduates with qualifications in psychology, education or speech pathology, or those holding a recognised degree who want to make a career change, should attend this information session for an overview of the Macquarie University Special Education Centre (MUSEC). It will be held on Wednesday 5 September from 12pm-1pm in Building E7B, Theatre 4, Macquarie University and is appropriate for people interested in both coursework and research.
